Here is what you will find in the Programmes

In Episode 1 – “Marriage Paints A Picture for the next Generation” – This programme begins with our own Stephen Cardy and Stuy Wilson of ZestLife discussing the impact our marriages are having upon our own children, …. observing that our own parents marriages – painted a picture for us – where we saw how life could be lived in a marriage – giving us hope. The desire for marriage is a very well know desire of young adults – to find a suitable spouse when we are young, that we can share our lives with and raise our families together. Loving parents will have painted a clear ‘picture’ that the next generation will seek after.

The Programme includes

  • The impact of our marriage (painting a picture) – on the next generation
  • Family dynamics are changing. Life is complex. The whole family needs to be well
  • Life’s journey is an opportunity to deveop character, and to deal with past hurts and failures

In Episode 2 – “Family and Community Rhythm – Painting a picture of hope and stability” – The family ‘community’ is a powerful vehicle for lifelong learning, development and growth

The Programme includes

  • Family Mealtimes can be a great opportunity for community and learning
  • A lot of learning is going on in ‘community’ where children are watching and learning
  • Building a strong family community – is a great opportunity for us to love and learn together

In Episode 3 – “Engaging Meaningfully in Life – as Parents” – Even though life is complex and there is a lot we dont get right or fully understand – we are still learning, including being resilient and growing into the best person we can be

The Programme includes

  • Parenting, character developing and maturing with age
  • Nobody on their deathbed wished they had spent more time at the office!
  • The impact of the new age of technology that we are all now living in, and parenting the ‘Anxious Generation’

In Episode 4 – “Parenting with Confidence In The Digital Age” – Discussing about living in a new age – a digital age, where everything has changed. Life has changed and family life has changed. So one of the challenges of parenting and living together in this new era, is the need to adjust to this new era

The Programme includes

  • Parenting the ‘Anxious Generation’ – Parents need to be resolute
  • Screen-time, Bedtime,Hormones, Managing self and kids
  • Parenting in the digital age of ‘digital natives’ A new era. helping parents and their children navigate this whole new era.

In Episode 5 – “Sensible Parenting In The Digital Age” – Living in the digital age – where everything has changed, life has changed and family life has changed, … and yet – Parenting is still parenting.

The Programme includes

  • Prepare the groundwork early in life, and prepare for life well – so that unnecessary challenges and conflicts can be avoided – or at least – more easily overcome
  • Prep and Parenting of teens – It can be a shock incl withdrawal as they enter the teen years, but they will emerge as adults in a few years, and if the relationship is still intact. That’s an opportunity
  • Going through the teen years can be quite the challenge for both parent and teen. Just stick with it …. both of you. …. Normal relations will resume in the years to come
  • The need to learn afresh, how to parent, …. as life with technology is so different than before, and make the most of our family life – we have to make the adjustments and parent accordingly. …
